About Linda, The "AstronomyGal"

A Fourth Generation Floridian who grew up in Southwest Florida, I have been active in Southwest Florida Astronomy and Nature Education since 1979. I've worked with groups of up to 300 people during large events at various Southwest Florida non-profits including Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary; "After Hours," CREW Land and Water Trust, The Bonita Nature Place and with Boy Scouts completing their Astronomy Merit Badge requirements that include observing the night sky and learning how telescopes work.
I’ve offered community, individual and Home School stargazing programs for students third grade to adult. I’ve also instructed Astronomy classes as an Adjunct Instructor at the Community College level, here and in Punta Gorda. I worked for Spitz Space Systems as a "Ground Person" during the construction of the Calusa Nature Center Planetarium, and was their first Planetarium Astronomer, back in the 1980's.
I have been featured in Newspaper and Magazine articles with Gulfshore Life MagazineThe News Press and many other publications since the 1980's. I am featured in the following books:
